'Robbed!' - Chelsea fans cannot believe what Gareth Southgate has done ahead of Euro 2020

England manager Gareth Southgate has named his provisional squad for the upcoming European Championship, with 33 players being selected by the Three Lions chief.

Southgate was expected to name his final 26-man squad today, but a last-minute change meant that he selected a larger pool of players before being tasked with making his final decision on what squad he will take into this summer's rearranged tournament next week.

As expected, Southgate, who will be looking to guide the Three Lions to their first trophy since lifting the World Cup back in 1966 this summer, has named the likes of Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Jordan Henderson, Harry Maguire and Jordan Pickford in his squad, with several other household names also making the cut.

From a Chelsea perspective, Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount have been included, which will come as little surprise to anybody, with the trio worthy winners of the places on offer.

However, whilst those three have made Southgate's provisional squad, and will be expected to make the final 26-man squad next week, there was no places for either Fikayo Tomori or Tammy Abraham.

Tomori has excelled at Italian giants AC Milan in recent months after joining the Serie A side on loan during the January transfer window. He has produced an array of impressive performances and played a key role in helping them secure a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.

However, Abraham's omission comes as no great surprise. He has been frozen out by Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel in recent months, so much so that his Stamford Bridge career appears to be dead and buried.

Tomori's absence, though, is a shock. His form should have earned him a spot, even though competition for places at centre-back is high. Unsurprisingly, Chelsea's supporters have been reacting to the squad announcement and they are not overly impressed with Southgate's decision to leave the former Derby County loanee out of his plans.

As you can see from the messages above, several Chelsea supporters are unimpressed with Southgate's decision to leave Tomori out of the squad.

The centre-backs that have made the squad ahead of him are John Stones, Conor Coady, Tyrone Mings, Ben Godfrey, Ben White and Maguire.
