Rob Lowe has suggested that Prince Harry has grown a ponytail after spotting the royal out in California.
The 56-year-old actor made the bizarre claim while he was chatting to James Corden on The Late Late Show, and appeared adamant that the Prince had a new hair do.
However, James Corden was not convinced by the rumour - and suggested that Rob might have been caught up in a case of mistaken identity.
The West Wing star had called in via video link when he explained that he had seen Prince Harry while in Montecito.
"I just ran into your countryman, the English treasure, Prince Harry, at the stoplight 10 minutes ago," Rob revealed.
"It was very, very quick — don't totally quote me on it — but it looked like he's wearing a ponytail."
While James appeared in disbelief, Rob continued to suggest that Prince Harry very possibly may have grown out his hair.
"I'm just saying. It looked to me as a casual observer that his hair had grown very long and was pulled back very tightly by what I can only assume was a ponytail."
"A ponytail?" James replied.
"I'm certain that isn't true. Do you know what I think's happened? I think you didn't see Prince Harry."
Harry and Meghan are believed to own a mansion worth $14.5 million in the high-profile community north of Los Angeles.
The couple made the sunny location their home last year, but are believed to have kept a low profile in the neighbourhood.
During his chat with James, Rob then added that he even made sure it was Prince Harry by 'following him' to his property.
Rob continued: "It was him because I have to say... I followed him to the house to see if the car went in."
During his chat with James, Rob also revealed that he lives very close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's home in Montecito, California.
"He lives about a mile from me. He's been very reclusive," Rob revealed.
"Seeing him in the neighborhood is like seeing the Loch Ness Monster, and I finally saw him. I finally saw him driving his car," Rob joked.
