Arsenal defender Rob Holding has appeared to his break his silence at claims he could be set to leave the club this summer.
The Gunners are believed to be ready to listen to transfer offers for three defenders this summer.
According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, speaking on the Ornstein and Chapman Podcast, Arsenal have picked out three players they are open to selling.
Those players are Holding, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi, with Pablo Mari and Luiz set to start off as Mikel Arteta's first-choice centre-back partnership.
The report claims Arteta is willing to offload the trio this summer in a bid to raise funds to bring his own players in.
However, Holding has now appeared to respond to those claims in an Instagram post.
Taking to the social media site, he wrote: “Focus your energy on what you can control '' followed by a muscle and football emoji.
The 24-year-old joined the Gunners from Bolton Wanderers for a fee believed to be around £2million back in the summer of 2016.
Holding has been in and out of the Gunners’ starting lineup since his arrival at the Emirates and suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury that ended his 2019/20 season prematurely.
He made his return to first-team action in September but has only managed eight appearances since and just one of those has come under Arteta, after he was appointed Emery’s successor back in December.
