Rob Gronkowski admits he doesn’t watch game film, just gets notes from Tom Brady

Rob Gronkowski isn’t the most diligent student of the game.

The current Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former New England Patriots tight end won’t spend much of his free time watching football. In fact, he openly admitted he never studies film beyond what he must watch for work.

Gronk shared a funny story that revealed just how little time he spends on film study at this point in his career.

“(Cameron Brate) goes, ‘Do you ever watch film?’ And I say, ‘No, I don’t. I just run by guys. If I’m feeling good, I’m feeling good,'” Gronk said during an appearance on ESPN during Monday Night Football. “So I don’t watch film. But I do watch film when the team is showing it and every once in a while, I watch games. … I actually do go up to Tom (Brady), and I know Tom watches — I don’t know — 40 hours of film per week. I go, ‘Tom, who’s covering me this week? What type of coverages are they doing?'”

If it works, it works.
