April 20--Rob Cavallo, chairman of Warner Bros. Records, has sold his home in Hidden Hills for $6 million.
The Mediterranean-style mansion sits on 1.16 acres with a detached guesthouse. The six-car garage contains a professional recording studio and a lounge.
The 10,532 square feet of living space features a grand foyer with double staircase, two-story-tall beamed ceilings, a home theater, a family room with a bar, a 400-bottle temperature-controlled wine room, an office/library, a bonus/game room and a gym. Including the guesthouse there are six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two powder rooms.
The grounds, which were the site of a 2010 benefit concert by Dave Matthews, includes an outdoor living room, outdoor kitchen, a patio, a courtyard with a fountain and a swimming pool with a spa and water slide.
Cavallo, 52, has won three Grammy awards and produced platinum-selling albums for artists including the Goo Goo Dolls, Kid Rock and Phil Collins. He has worked on the majority of records by Green Day, which was inducted this month into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The record producer, a musician himself, bought the property in 2002 for $5.75 million.
