Rob Burrow and Royal Family among those paying tribute to Kevin Sinfield OBE

Tributes have poured in for Kevin Sinfield after receiving his OBE.

'Sir Kev' got well-deserved recognition on Wednesday for his services to rugby league and the MND community.

Sinfield has raised millions following Rob Burrow's diagnosis of Motor Neurone disease and recently ran 101 miles in just 24 hours.

Though the calls for a knighthood have been frequent, an OBE was his latest accolade and many were quick to share their admiration for Leeds Rhinos' greatest ever captain.

Among them, inevitably, was Burrow himself, he posted a short but heart-felt message on Twitter.

"I am so proud of my friend Kevin. For everything he has done," he posted.

Even the Royal Family tweeted to express their congratulations.

And Brian Moore was also thrilled and keen to pay his tribute.

Congratulations to Kevin Sinfield on your OBE. You are an outstanding human being, as well as a great player.
