Former Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow and his wife Lindsay have revealed the incredible response they have had to the star's recent documentary on his battle against Motor Neuron Disease (MND) at the opening of a powerful new exhibition.
The couple were at Leeds train station on Friday morning to unveil a brand new exhibition about the lives of people with MND. Rob and Lindsay arrived to greet crowds of people to unveil the new pop-up exhibition, presented by Leeds Hospitals Charity.
The exhibition titled '7 Stories of Motor Neuron Disease' showcases the impact of the disease on seven different people. It will tour across key locations in Leeds to help raise awareness and fund for Leeds Hospitals Charity's appeal to build the new Rob Burrow Centre for MND.

Rob's wife, Lindsay Burrow spoke to LeedsLive about the importance of the exhibition and what the response has been since the heartbreaking documentary showing Rob's life with MND on TV. She said: "It's just been a huge honour and privilege to be here this morning, to be part of the seven stories exhibition, along with six other families. We are incredibly proud, to have it here in Leeds is really important and really special to us.
"I think having it in the train station, if people are having a bad day at work, if they read these stories, it really hits home, the stories are so inspiring, it just helps put things into perspective.
"The response to the documentary has been incredible, we've always said if we can help one other person or family that's important to us. Rob wanted to showcase the effect MND has not just on the individual but on the family as well. We wanted to show there is still hope and still positivity.
The exhibition will tour across key locations in Leeds to help raise awareness and funds for Leeds Hospitals Charity’s appeal to build the new Rob Burrow Centre for MND.
Esther Wakeman, Chief Executive of Leeds Hospitals Charity, said: “Seven people, including Rob, bravely volunteered to tell their stories for this powerful exhibition. Rob is an absolute hero to the MND community for the courage he, and his family, have shown. We are just under half-way to our target to build the new Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease; the hope is this exhibition inspires people to help get us to the finishing line.”
