A circus ringmaster and roaming dinosaurs are among those set to visit St Helens this summer for a whole host of family-freidnly activities.
A part of St Helens Council 's events programme over the summer holidays, families are invited to visit St Helens town centre as dinosaurs descend on Church Square for Dino Day on Friday, August 6.
Taking place from 11am to 4pm, it is the second event in a fantastic summer programme organised by St Helens Borough Council’s events team after a recent, well-attended visit from Peppa Pig and family.

Families won't want to miss out on dinosaurs roaming around Church Square and leaving a trail of dinosaur eggs to be found around the town centre.
There will also be dinosaur shows taking place throughout the day and crafts for dinosaur explorers to get involved with.
The following Friday, July 13, the circus will also come to town as a Giant Ringmaster is set to watch over the street performers in Church Square, performing their amazing acts such as tightrope walking, juggling and daredevil acrobatics.

On Friday, July 20, parents can bring their little princesses and superheroes along for lots of fun at Princess and Superhero day, where there will be face painting, craft workshops and characters to meet.
All of the events are free to attend and will take place from 11am-4pm.
Councillor Anthony Burns, Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Culture and Heritage, said: "It’s great that we’re finally going back to some sort of normality, with the return of our fantastic free events programme which I know so many families value as a source of entertainment for their children, who have missed out on so much during the past 18-months or so.
"Now that more restrictions have been lifted, hopefully we can go back to proving our quality offer of free entertainment on a more regular basis, courtesy of our fantastic events team, to attract families into our town centres and open spaces.
"While visiting St Helens Town Centre for these events, be sure to show your support to local businesses and remember that Covid hasn’t gone away – so it’s vitally important to do everything that’s necessary to keep yourself and others safe."
