Roadworks on Victoria Road in Netherfield causing disruption and bus diversions

Major roadworks has caused a busy main road in Netherfield to close and for bus routes to be diverted.

Part of Victoria Road will be closed as contractors working on behalf of Severn Trent Water are carrying out necessary road works.

One lane of Victoria Road remains open for traffic and for access to business along the street.

From Sunday October 24 to Thursday October 28 the Red 44 and Red 44A will divert via Gedling Road, Burton Road, Colwick Loop Road and Victoria Road.

The buses will resume their normal route on Meadow Road.

The work will be from 5am until 5pm until the roadworks are complete and the road reopens.

Severn Trent Water has been approached for a comment.
