Roadworks on Anchor Road expected to last until June

Bristol City Council have announced that two out of four lanes on Anchor Road (one inbound and one outbound) will be closed from tomorrow (May 13) until June 11 at the latest.

The lanes will be temporarily closed so Bristol Water works can carry out work on them.

As a result of this, the two bus stops on the road will be moved further down.

The works will be completed by Thursday 11 June or sooner.

The outbound bus stop will be relocated outside Hargreaves Lansdown, where there is a wide pavement for passengers to wait at a safe distance.

The inbound bus stop will be relocated outside the casino - very few passengers board and alight at this stop.

These works will pave the way for further roadworks scheduled later this year, which will improve bus journey times and reliability, and make bus travel and cycling easier and safer.
