Some roads near the Grand Palace in Bangkok will be closed this evening during the rehearsal of the procession for His Majesty the King’s coronation.
The 40 roads will include Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue and Phra Pin Klao Bridge as well as other roads such as Na Phra Lan, Na Phra That and Rachini roads.
Pol Maj Gen Chirasan Kaewsaeng-ake, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said these roads will be closed only when the procession passes along them, which will occur at timesbetween the hours of 4pm and 9.30pm.
However, on April 21 and 28, these roads will be completely closed to vehicles throughout the time period, Pol Maj Gen Chirasan said.
