Roads at the scene of the alleged attempted murder of three police officers will be closed while an investigation is undertaken on Wednesday.

The off-ramp leading to Lady Denman Drive from both the north and southbound lanes of the Tuggeranong Parkway and "other roads around that location" will be closed for a short period, ACT Policing has advised.

Drivers have been asked to avoid the area between noon and 2pm and to slow down when passing police vehicles that have their lights activated.

According to police, specialist technical investigators will be conducting measurements and scanning the scene to assist in the investigation.

The investigation follows an incident on July 11, when three police officers were struck by a green Ford Sedan during a traffic operation near the Arboretum.

Two junior officers and a senior police officer were hospitalised in what police allege was a deliberate act.

More to come.
