Roads closed by police in Beeston after reports of stabbing

A man has been seriously assaulted in Beeston - with witnesses reporting that he was stabbed.

West Yorkshire Police were called at around 3pm this afternoon (Sunday) to a disturbance on Normanton Terrace in the south Leeds suburb.

On arrival a man was found with injuries and the cul-de-sac was subsequently cordoned off by officers.

Highways England also closed the exit slip road from the M621 at junction 2A for Beeston.

The extent of the victim's injuries are still unknown and no arrests have been made.
