Road users in West Lothian warned essential works require month long diversions

Road users in West Lothian are warned about upcoming diversions.

The road diversions will be in place for planned works due to commence at A899 Cousland Interchange Bridge, Livingston.

People who normally drive along the A899 Cousland Interchange Bridge in Livingston should be aware of planned works starting from May 31 which could lead to some disruption to their journey.

Cousland Interchange Bridge is located on the A899, Livingston Road in Livingston. It carries the dual carriageway over the A705, Cousland Road.

The bridge is composed of two decks carrying the north and southbound carriageways. Planned works are set to commence from May 31 and last for a period of four weeks which comprise of urgent concrete repairs to underside of the west deck.

The work cannot be undertaken with live traffic therefore lane closures with contraflow and associated slip road closures will be in place alongside signed diversions.
