Back in June, it was announced that the stretch of Bethany Home Road between North 91st Avenue and North 99th Avenue would be renamed Cardinals Way because it is the stretch of the street that borders the State Farm Stadium complex.
The change has officially happened.
On Monday, the new street sign was unveiled.
Cardinals Way is the first street named after a local pro team in the state.
“We couldn’t be more excited, and I know all the 31 other teams’ fans are going to jealous of what we’ve got here,” team president Michael Bidwill said after the official ceremony.
It would appear the team and the city of Glendale have worked through some kinks that they have had over the last few years, either because of parking or the Super Bowl.
