A road section at an intersection on Pracha Uthit Road in Bangkok’s Thung Kru district suddenly subsided on Saturday morning.

The subsidence occurred at the corner of Na Luang intersection on outbound-Pracha Uthit Road for a distance of about 15-20 metres near King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thon Buri at 9.56am, according to JS100 radio station.

Two lanes of the road were closed to traffic. There were also some cracks on footpaths near the eroded road section.

Motorists were told to take extra caution while passing the area.

A street sweeper working in the area said she arrived to work on the road at around 5.30am and there was no subsidence at the time.
