Shocking footage shows a bus driver deliberately plough into a pedestrian in an apparent road rage attack.
The man- who was blocking the path of the bus - was sent flying after being hit in Rome.
A clip taken on a mobile phone shows the man trying to stop the bus as he walks in the middle of the road.
He is shown banging on the windscreen as the vehicle drives into him.
Eventually he is thrown to the ground.
After the clip was widely shared, an investigation was opened.
Italian bus company Atac has vowed to suspend the driver as soon as they are identified.
According to Sky tg24 , the clip was posted on Facebook by a former bus company employee, but was then subsequently deleted.
In a statement the company said: "Atac immediately started an investigation as soon as we became aware of the video, which the company is taking very seriously.
"Atac will suspend the responsible driver once they have been identified."
It is not known what sparked the incident.
