Road outside pub cordoned off by police after man found injured

Part of a road outisde a pub was taped off by police after a man was injured.

Police said they found the injured man on Ashton Old Road in Openshaw, Tameside.

Pictures from the scene show that police taped off an area outside the Lord Raglan Pub.

Officers also blocked off part of the road with a police car.

Crime scene officers also attended as investigations into the incident continued.

The man was treated by the North West Ambulance Service.

It is not clear how the man came to be injured, and but his injuries aren't thought to be serious.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 8.10pm on Saturday 4 July 2020, police found an injured man on Ashton Old Road, Openshaw."

The incident came as pubs were allowed to open for the first time yesterday since the lockdown was imposed in March.
