Road in Stockport closed after vehicle crashes into parked car

A road in Stockport has been shut after a driver crashed into a parked car.

Moss Lane - a residential street in Bramhall - was cordoned off by police at the junction with Athol Road following the collision.

No one was injured in the crash and no arrests have been made, a GMP spokesman said.

The smash happened just before 12.50pm today (Wednesday).

A spokesman for GMP added: "We were called at 12.50pm to reports of a two vehicle collision on Moss Lane, Bramhall.

"It looks like a vehicle has collided with a stationary vehicle.

"There are no reports of injuries."

TfGM posted about the incident on Twitter, urging motorists to find an alternative route.

Stagecoach tweeted about the incident warning diversions were in place.

They are urged to follow the diversion via Ack Lane East, Ack Lane West, Church Rd and Gilbent Roadd in both directions until further notice.
