A road in Stalybridge is closed in both directions following a serious road traffic collision.
Wakefield Road is shut in both directions from Printworks Road to Souracre Fold following an incident involving one vehicle.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, North West Ambulance Service and GMP are in attendance.
Slow traffic is being reported in the area.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) spokesperson said: “Just before 6:30 pm this evening, two fire engines and the Technical Response Unit from Stalybridge and Ashton-under-Lyne fire stations were called to a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on Wakefield Road, Stalybridge.
"Crews remain in attendance at this time.”
A spokeswoman for GMP said: "Police are currently responding to a road traffic collision on Wakefield Road, Stalybridge.
"Road closures are in place and will remain in place for several hours.
"Drivers are being asked to avoid the area".
