Road in Harpurhey closed after collision between pedestrian and car

Police have closed a road in Harpurhey after a collision between a pedestrian and a car

Officers have been at the scene for the past hour after receiving reports of the incident, at the junction of Upper Conran Street and Moston Lane.

GMP says the pedestrian's injuries are not thought to be life threatening, but they have been taken to hospital.

Upper Conran Street remains closed, and bus services are being diverted.

Stagecoach services 112, 113, 114, 117, 118 and 119 will not travel on Upper Conran Street and Fernclough Road until further notice, while First Manchester's 81 and 81A services will turn left onto Rochdale road and the same in reverse.

A GMP spokesman said: "Police were called to a collision between a pedestrian and a car on Moston Lane at 11.20am.

"The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

"Enquiries are ongoing".
