As many as four Garda cars swarmed a Dublin city area arresting one man during an early morning incident today.
Officers rushed to an apartment block on Newport Street after 9am this morning in the south inner city during a significant operation.
Residents gathered on the street and could only watch on at what was going down as the man in his 30s was nabbed.
One local told Dublin Live that the road was "full of Gardai" and that one man had come out with handcuffs on him.
He said: "There was at least four squad cars outside the apartment block.

"The road was full of Gardai and they were at the scene for some time after the arrest."
A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "We attended the scene of an incident earlier this morning at 9:20am on Newport Street, Dublin 8.
"One male aged in his early 30s was arrested in relation and was taken to Kevin Street Garda Station."
He added: "No further information is available and investigations are ongoing."
