Road closures confirmed for Nottingham Pride parade

There's plenty to keep party-goers happy at this year including a jam-packed line-up of drag queens, live music and comedy.

Last year 7,000 people enjoyed the city celebration making it Nottingham's biggest LGBTQ+ event to date and even more are expected to turn out on Saturday, July 20.

Before the party kicks off in Hockley at noon there will be a Pride march.

As in previous years, it will leave from outside Marks and Spencer on the corner of Lister Gate and Castle Gate and those looking to join in are asked to gather from 10am.

It will then start at 11am and take the following route:

Albert Street (start of parade)

Wheeler Gate

Beast Market Hill

Long Row

Smithy Row

Clumber Street

Lincoln Street

George Street

Broad Street (end of parade)

The event will continue on Broad Street and Heathcoat Street with live entertainment, information stalls, music and art up to 6.30pm.

Roads to be closed through the duration of the event are:

George Street

Broad Street

Heathcoat Street

Carlton Street

Moderate delays are expected to bus services.
