A project to take down a crane and shut a lane on a busy city road has been pushed back.
The inside lane of Sheriffs Way was due to be closed from 5am on Saturday, March 14, until 8am the following day.
However, the work is now expected take place between the following weekend, between the same times.
The crane in question has been used to build the vast 10-storey Unity Square building, one of the East Midlands' biggest developments.
Set to open next year, it will accommodate up to 4,000 HM Revenue and Customs staff.
Engineers will work around the clock to get the job done.
Some delays are expected as a result of the work carried out.
The move comes as work continues in nearby Canal Street to replace pipes between Castle Boulevard and Carrington Street.
Lanes on this road were shut for the work and it will last about eight weeks.
