Road closure and First Bus diversions in place for summer fayre

There are several First Bus diversions and a road closure in place today (July 13) for the East Street Summer Fayre.

East Street in Bedminster is closed to traffic from 10am to 6pm for the event, which features a selection of food stalls and music from local artists.

Organisers previously said there will be plenty to keep the children busy, including a bouncy castle, car racetrack and face painting.

However, the road closure does mean several bus services have been diverted as a result.

According to Travel West England: "Services 75, 76, 90, A2, m1 & 672 will divert from West Street right into Sheene Road and left into Malago Road and Dalby Avenue to resume normal route and will observe the bus stop on Sheene Road outside of McDonalds during this closure period.

"Service 90 from St Johns Lane to turn right into Malago Road and Dalby Avenue to resume normal route.

"Services 511 & 512 Inbound will divert to Bedminster Parade via Dalby Avenue."
