Road closed by Severn Trent due to sinkhole forming in road

A road has been closed for emergency repairs due to a sinkhole.

Ivy Grove in Carlton has been closed between its junctions with Laurel Road and Forester Grove due to "a collapse within the foul pipeline that is causing a sinkhole and pollution".

The road was shut on Thursday (April 8) at 1pm and will reopen at 6pm on Wednesday, April 14.

Nottinghamshire County Council announced the news of the emergency works this week in the Gedling area.

The repairs are being carried out by Severn Trent Water.

Diversion routes are in place via Ivy Grove B686 Carlton Hill and Forester Grove.
