Road closed as police attend Leeds city centre car park incident

Police officers were called to a multi-storey car park in Leeds city centre to assist a woman who was seen on top of a building.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed officers spoke to the woman and that she is safe.

The spokesman said they were alerted to a woman seen on the roof at around 6.45pm on Thursday.

Road closures were in place while officers from West Yorkshire Police dealt with the incident in New York Street.

New York Street was closed to traffic while police dealt with the incident.

The road is now back open.
