A busy south Dublin road was closed late on Saturday night after a man was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle.
Gardai rushed to Blessington Road on the N81 in Tallaght when the man, who was walking on the road, was struck by the vehicle at around 8:45pm.
He was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries but he is believed to currently be in a stable condition.
A spokeswoman for the Gardai added that the road has since reopened and that investigations are ongoing.
