Road closed and man rushed to hospital after serious crash in Wexford

A man has been rushed to hospital after a serious crash in Wexford overnight.

Garda are appealing for witnesses after the collision near New Ross in the early hours of the morning.

Emergency services closed the road for a time but it has since reopened.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash at Camblin Hill near New Ross last night.

"The R733 at Ballinteskin is closed but should reopen shortly. Anyone with any information is asked to contact New Ross Gardai on 051-426030."
