Road closed and major emergency response as air ambulance scrambled to crash in Radcliffe

The emergency services have rushed to the scene of crash in Bury this afternoon (July 25).

Police, paramedic and an air ambulance were scrambled to Church Street West in Radcliffe just before 2pm, according to eyewitnesses.

The road is closed in both directions.

There are tailbacks in both directions around Seymour Street.

Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for more information about the incident, including any injuries sustained.

Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted: "Church Street, Radcliffe - delays expected in the area.

"This is due to a road traffic collision.

"Bus services will be diverted in the area. Please check with your operator before travelling. "
