A lollipop lady has reportedly been struck by a vehicle outside a Lanarkshire primary school.
Emergency services are currently in attendance on Uddingston Road in Bothwell with traffic tailed back towards Hamilton.
The incident happened around 2.30pm this afternoon shortly after children finished up their last day of term before the Christmas holidays.
The condition or identity of the person hit by the vehicle is as of yet unknown.
Two police vehicles and an ambulance were spotted at the scene as emergency responders remain in attendance at the incident.
A spokeswoman from the force told Lanarkshire Live : "Around 2.30pm, police received a report of a person being struck by a vehicle in Uddingston Road, Bothwell.
"Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed."

It is understood the collision took place at a crossing point for school children on Uddingston Road, near to Bothwell Primary.
Reports on social media suggest it was the local lollipop lady who was struck by a vehicle.
One person wrote: "My thoughts are with the lollipop lady on Main St who got knocked down. School bus drivers had to go via Castle Ave.
"Lots of cars still trying to get past. Police and ambulance in attendance."
And another said: "The last I spoke lady involved he was doing okay waiting on ambulance arriving don't know how much damage.
"Not sure what happened but I had to stop at the scene and move my car onto the kerb."
