Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Newton Heath.
Police believe gunshots were fired between two cars on Briscoe Lane at around 1.45pm today (Tuesday).
A third vehicle is thought to have been involved in the dispute.
All three cars fled the scene after the shooting.
Briscoe Lane remains sealed off by police.
No one is reported to have been injured and no arrests have been made.
It's understood that a member of the public reported the firearm discharge to police.
A statement released by Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 1.45pm earlier today (Tuesday 19 January 2021), police were called to Briscoe Lane, Manchester to reports of a possible firearms discharge.
"Further enquiries have since established that three cars were travelling through the area when shots were fired from one of the vehicles towards another. All three cars fled the scene a short time later.
"At this stage no person has been reported injured and it is unknown if the car that was fired upon was hit.
"A scene remains in place on Briscoe Lane and anybody with information is urged to contact police."
