A road has been closed after a man was struck by a vehicle in Sale.
The crash happened on Washway Road shortly before 9.20pm this evening.
A 49-year-old male pedestrian injured in the collision is being treated by paramedics at the scene.
Washway Road has been closed in both directions.
The crash happened near to the M&S Simply Food store on Washway Road.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called by the ambulance service to a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian at 21.23.
"We arrived shortly afterwards. A 49-year-old man involved in the collision is being treated by the ambulance service.
"The road remains closed in both directions."
