A motorcyclist has died following a single vehicle crash in Limerick.
The incident occurred at O'Malley Park, Southhill, on Sunday afternoon at approximately 1pm.
The 26-year-old man was riding his motorcycle when it collided with a wall and metal fence.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed to the mortuary in University Hospital Limerick, where a post mortem will take place.
The scene is currently preserved, and Forensic Collision investigators are conducting their investigation.
The road is closed, and local diversions are in place.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Roxboro Road are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at O'Malley Park, Southhill, Limerick this afternoon Sunday 16th January, 2022 at approximately 1p.m."
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward, and any road users with video footage, including dashcam, is asked to make this available to officers.
