Road closed after dental surgery in Bolton goes up in flames

A serious fire at a dental surgery in Bolton has closed a road.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called to Plodder Lane in Farnworth shortly after midnight after the building went up in flames.

The blaze affected both the ground and first floor, as well as the roof space.

Five crews, as well as a hydraulic platform and a command unit were deployed.

Crews are still at the scene.

The service has yet to confirm if the building was occupied at the time.

Plodder Lane remains closed in both directions from Harper Green Road to Openshaw Place this morning.
