A road was sealed off amid unconfirmed reports a gunman was on the loose.
Images shared with the ECHO show the blocked road and police at the scene last night.
Several police cars could be seen pictured at the scene in Ellesmere Port at around 9pm on Sunday.

Shocked residents took to social media after the police swooped on Westminster Road with the junction of Grace Road.
One resident said there had been a sighting of "a man with a gun", with one witness reporting seeing "four police cars flying down Westminster Road".
There were also reports of armed police at the scene last night, with pictures showing a cordon in place and a number of police vehicles.
One witness said a man was taken by handcuffs into a police car.
