Road blocked by toppled steamroller after it falls against garden wall

A steamroller has fallen off a lorry in a residential area in Rock Ferry , Wirral.

No-one was injured in the incident on New Chester Road in Rock Ferry this morning.

The vehicle is thought to have been flattening tarmac on New Chester Road before it became wedged against the garden wall of a house.

Photos of the steamroller were posted across social media as local residents raised concerns about safety measures.

Police said the stranded vehicle was a matter for Wirral Council.

Wirral council has been made aware of the incident.
