Emergency services have raced to the scene of a road traffic collision involving multiple vehicles this evening.
The crash occurred on the northbound stretch of the motorway near Junction 2 at Rosyth.
There are currently no reports of any injuries.
At 5.59pm Traffic Scotland reported that two lanes were blocked due to the incident.
The service said: "M90 road traffic collision northbound exit slip at J2 onto the A823M is partially blocked.
"Take Care in approach."
Police Scotland were called to the scene.
A spokesman said: "At 5.45 officers were called to a collision involving multiple vehicles on the M90 northbound near Junction 2.
"The exact number of vehicles involved is unknown.
"The road is blocked.
"There are no reports of any injuries as yet."
