Two people were injured after a car crashed into a tree and overturned.
Merseyside Police were called to Trevor Road in Ainsdale at around 6.50pm on Thursday, May 5, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a red Vauxhall Astra had hit a tree and overturned in the road.
Two people were injured in the crash and the North West Ambulance Service were called to the scene. The ambulance was later cancelled and it is believed the people involved suffered minor injuries.

The car blocked any traffic from passing for around two hours before it was recovered. Officers at the scene directed cars away from the area.
The car was recovered from the road at around 9pm. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
