Road around harbour set to be closed part of bank holiday weekend

A main road around Bristol Harbourside is set to be closed to traffic for part of the bank holiday weekend.

Cumberland Road will be closed at the junction with Wapping Road from 4am to 10pm on Sunday, August 25.

The closure is to allow a mobile crane to be placed on Cumberland Road which will be used to dismantle a tower crane being used at a nearby development site.

There will be no through access for traffic during the closure and a diversion will be in place along Coronation Road A370.

Letters have been sent to local residents informing them of the closure. But now Nationwide Traffic Solutions has warned the works may not proceed next weekend.
