Emerging forward Siua Wong has re-signed with the Sydney Roosters for two seasons, as he looks to continue repaying the NRL club that gave him his big break.
The Tonga international extended his contract until at least the end of the 2028 campaign on Wednesday after becoming a consistent figure in their second row since debuting in 2023.
It comes after the 23-year-old became the first player to progress through the Academy and earn selection in the Tricolours' top grade.
This season, Wong's barnstorming runs and rigid defence has helped his team push for a top-four finish.
The extension is also a major boost for the club as coach Trent Robinson looks to cement his playing group, as second-rower Angus Crichton (rugby union), winger Mark Nawaqanitawase (rugby union) and hooker Connor Watson (St George Illawarra) will leave the club at the end of 2026.
