They call the "M1 derby" between Brisbane and Gold Coast a big brother against little brother affair and for the Haas family it is more than just a promotional throwaway line.
Titans prop Klese Haas, 24, has looked up to his more illustrious 26-year-old brother Payne all his life. Rather than be daunted by the giant shadow the Broncos prop casts, Klese has been inspired to be better.
Klese has moved out of that shadow in his own right and is now an established NRL forward with 70 games to his credit.
On Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium, the pair will clash for the fifth time and so far it is two wins apiece.
"Hopefully I get bragging rights over him. He's got a lot to brag about, so hopefully I get something over him," Klese said.
