RL:Call made on Foran's future after Manly revival

Kieran Foran has been rewarded for resurrecting Manly's NRL season with the rookie coach signing a permanent deal to remain at Brookvale Oval.

The Sea Eagles announced on Tuesday that Foran put pen to paper on a three-year deal and has signed on as head coach until the end of 2029 after sparking a major turnaround in the club's fortunes.

The 35-year-old, who only retired from playing in November last year, returned to Manly as an assistant coach over the summer, but was thrust into the top job on an interim basis when Anthony Seibold was sacked in late March.

There was initial scepticism that Foran had the ability to handle such a challenging gig so soon after retiring from his decorated playing career.
