PATNA: RJD’s Rajya Sabha member Dr Misa Bharti on Tuesday extended gratitude to the people for their wishes on the behalf of her father Lalu Prasad who underwent a kidney transplant surgery in Singapore on Monday.
Misa, Lalu’s eldest daughter, took to Twitter and said in Hindi, “Your prayers boosted my father's morale and made him feel better today! Papa has said ‘Thanks to all of you’.”
Misa, who derives her name from the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA) under which Lalu was jailed during the emergency period, also attached a video clip where her father and former Union minister could be heard saying: "Aap logo ne sab dua kiya, acha feel kar rahe hain hum (You all prayed, I am feeling better)."
Earlier on Monday, Lalu's son and Bihar’s deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav informed that the RJD chief underwent kidney transplant surgery successfully at a hospital in Singapore.
