Riyadh Denounces Attack on Jordan Security Patrol

Saudi Arabia “strongly condemned” on Saturday an attack on a police van near Amman, saying the Kingdom supports Jordan against terrorism.

“The Kingdom strongly condemns and denounces the bombing of a joint patrol of gendarmerie and general security in the town of Fuheis west of the Jordanian capital," an official source at the Saudi Foreign Ministry was quoted as saying by the Saudi Press Agency.

The attack has left a serviceman dead and six others injured, said SPA.

Saudi Arabia backs Jordan against terrorism and extremism, said the source, offering condolences to the victims’ families and the Jordanian government and people.

The source also wished the wounded a speed recovery.
