A restaurant in the popular Parkgate village in Wirral has been revamped into a stylish steakhouse.
The former No1 Mostyn Square - and before that the Marsh Cat restaurant - has now rebranded as Salty’s, with a completely new look and menu .
The venue closed for three weeks earlier this year and was totally gutted, with trendy booths added to create an American theme.
Owner Claire Russell, who took over the venue seven years ago, said: “It looks completely different now and the feedback so far has been really positive.
“We’re much more family friendly and we’ve got some fun elements including slushie machines and warm popcorn. We’ve also got a great selection of gin and tonics, craft ales and our porn star martinis are to die for.”
The restaurant takes its name from the salt marshes it overlooks, from its position on the Dee Estuary.
Its menu includes sizzling fajitas, buttermilk fried chicken and gourmet burgers.
People have been impressed with new look since it re-opened. One reviewer on Tripadvisor said: “I went to Saltys with some friends last night, this is the second time we have been since the refurbishment.
