Master Ngarrindjeri weaver and artist Yvonne Koolmatrie exhibits work from over three decades of her practice. The exhibition will begin with a river of suspended eel traps, and features over 60 works from institutions around the country.
Curated by festival artistic director Nici Cumpston, curator and writer Hetti Perkins and artist and curator Jonathan Jones, and developed in consultation with Koolmatrie, the exhibition highlights how her workis rooted in the tradition of her Ngarrindjeri culture and animated by her imagination.
