Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan was joined by her estranged husband Michael Kopeck as they welcomed their first child together.
The 28-year-old Canadian actress was revealed to be a proud new mum to a baby boy on Saturday – with 24-year-old baseball star Michael reportedly with her at the time of the birth.
Vanessa and Michael tied-the-knot in January last year following six months of being engaged – but it was announced in June last year that Michael had filed for divorce.
The following month, Vanessa had announced her pregnancy – with the baby boy arriving just in time for the end of January after the TV star said he would arrive during the first month of 2021.
E! News reported on Saturday that Vanessa and Michael were present to welcome their child into the world.
The entertainment news site reported a source stating: "Vanessa had the baby, and Michael is with her as well.”
The source added: “They're both thrilled."
It is unclear if the baby was delivered on Saturday or if the arrival was only being announced on the day.
US reports have also suggested the proud parents are planning to continue with their divorce, with E! stating Vanessa gave birth “amid divorce from Michael Kopeck”.
Vanessa’s pregnancy has been written into upcoming episodes of Riverdale – which last week began airing it’s fifth season on The CW in the USA and via Netflix elsewhere in the world.
Explaining she was still working while almost nine months pregnant on social media, Vanessa wrote: "Feeling grateful to my showrunner & producers for being so accommodating & writing my pregnancy into the show!"
She added: ”Also proud of my body for allowing me to still work almost 9 months preggo.”
Signally maternity leave was under way, she added: “Now time to have a baby! lol"
