Riverdale star Lili Reinhart comes out as bisexual after split from Cole Sprouse

Actress Lili Reinhart has come out as bisexual in a post on her Instagram account.

The Riverdale star, 23, took to social media to continue her support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Lili shared an image of a poster for a West Hollywood LGBTQ+ for Black Lives Matter when she revealed that she is part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Captioning the image on her Instagram Story, Lili writes: "Although I’ve never announced it publicly before, I am a proud bisexual woman.

"And I will be joining this protest today. Come join."

The actress had been in a high-profile romantic relationship with her Riverdale co-star Cole Sprouse for three years until their split last month.

The pair play a popular couple on the teen drama series: Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones.

The coupling has a large social media fandom that are nicknamed "Bugheads".

Lili has been using her platform on social media to share her support of the Black Lives Matter movement and has shown a desire to amplify voices in the black community.

Writing on Twitter today, Lili commented: "I want to open up my Instagram to any influencer from the black community who wants to say a few words or share their thoughts— I will do an Instagram live with them and they can have my platform to speak about this issue.

"Any requests? Who should I reach out to?"

Meanwhile, her ex Sprouse was arrested at a Black Lives Matter protest in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Cole wrote on Instagram: "Peace, riots, looting, are an absolutely legitimate form of protest. the media is by nature only going to show the most sensational, which only proves a long standing racist agenda.

"I was detained when standing in solidarity, as were many of the final vanguard within Santa Monica. We were given the option to leave, and were informed that if we did not retreat, we would be arrested.

"When many did turn to leave, we found another line of police officers blocking our route, at which point, they started zip tying us.

"It needs to be stated that as a straight white man, and a public figure, the institutional consequences of my detainment are nothing in comparison to others within the movement.

"This is ABSOLUTELY not a narrative about me, and I hope the media doesn’t make it such. This is, and will be, a time about standing ground near others as a situation escalates, providing educated support, demonstrating and doing the right thing.

“This is precisely the time to contemplate what it means to stand as an ally. I hope others in my position do as well."
