Riverdale actor Casey Cott has delighted fans, followers and co-stars – and not to mention his girlfriend-turned-fiancée – by getting engaged.
The 28-year-old actor appeared to surprise everyone when he got down on one knee to ask his brown haired lover to marry him.
And judging by the bling-tactic diamond ring on her finger and the beaming smiles from both, the lucky lady said yes.
Uploading the cute moment to Instagram on Saturday, Casey simply accompanied the image of himself with his smiling bride-to-be with a caption of three diamond ring emojis.
Riverdale co-stars were among the first to congratulate Casey on his happy news.
Camila Mendes – who plays Veronica Lodge on the CW show – gushed: “so happy for you two” alongside a heart and hugging emoji.
Flame haired actress Madelaine Petsh – who plays Cheryl Blossom – beamed: “I’m so happy about this” alongside a heart-eyed emoji.
Scream actor Skeet Ulrich – who plays FP Jones in the teen drama – hinted that Casey had taken a long time to pluck up the courage to ask his girlfriend to be his wife as he simply responded writing: “FINALLY” alongside three red heart emojis.
While Betty Cooper actress Lili Reinhart shared red heart, red rose, and diamond emojis alongside the notes: Congratulations” and “my sweet parents”.
A flood of other congratulatory messages came in from fans who were quick to express their own joy at Casey’s happy news.
The identity of the teen-drama actor’s fiancée is something of a mystery, however.
The pair were first spotted together on Instagram in May 2019 and made a rare red carpet appearance together in March this year at a premiere in Los Angeles.
Furthermore the actor declined to tag his wife-to-be in the photo that he shared online with some surprised fans left wondering "Congratulations! Who is she?"
